Are you checking risk data sources where AI is involved?

Given how AI has hit the news again ... when do you know, for sure, what you are reading has come from AI or not?
I ask this in context to People and Travel Risk Management ... when you see a notification, an event or a growing situation ... do you know where AI has been used to trigger that or form that conclusion? This will depend on what data sources you are using for intelligence, what tech is place monitoring situations and knowing where or if humans are in the loop. When you don't really see how that intel has come about ... the responsibility then sits on you to spend time checking the sources ... it may be time you do not have.
So, how clear in you risk technology does it highlight the data source, the credibility, the process it has gone through to validate etc. and when do you know you need to deep dive for citations? For every notification or ones you are unsure of? Here is an ask of you ... go into your people/travel risk technology, pick a random event or two and look at the details, source of the information etc. and see how confident you feel that you have the tools to analyse and scrutinise its validity. How does that make you feel?
I am not going to solve this here as this is such a deep and divisive area to ponder the implications of. As we automate more (not just through AI) and leave humans out of the loop or some of the automation ... who is going to check things are as they say they are?
