Join the Technology & Data Community Team this January

In the context of current world events, Travel Risk Managers are increasingly judged on how well they use technology and data to protect travellers and keep business moving. From conflicts and climate shocks to political instability and sudden border changes, travel risk and security teams are under pressure to make faster, better‑informed decisions.

The difference between noise and insight increasingly comes down to how effectively you use technology and data across your TRM programme.

The Travel Risk Academy Technology & Data Community brings together practitioners from TRM, security, HR and mobility who are actually living these challenges. 

On 27 January, the community is hosting an open webinar on how tech and data can support:

✅ Managing major world events that impact large traveller populations

✅ Monitoring travellers, responding to incidents & maintaining situational awareness

✅ Providing timely, individual assistance to affected travellers

Together with community leads Alex Craxton and Martijn van der Voort, and TRA Mentors John Scott and David Chappell, the community has developed a TRM Tech Stack Maturity Matrix that helps teams map where they are today - from basic capability to fully integrated, data‑driven TRM. Attendees will have the opportunity to apply the same matrix to their own organisations and complete a structured self‑assessment after the session.
